Beliefs

I believe we are all created to be in a relationship with God, to believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior, to love and glorify God, and love others as Scripture teaches us. With this, I believe that counseling can be an act of service, discipleship, and help as clients grow in these areas.

I believe Scripture, as a mirror in an individual/couple/family’s life, offers the truth we need for the emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual life change that God performs.

I believe Biblical theology can be practically applied to everyday life, and that Scripture provides a worldview of truth to combat lies we often believe.

I believe that God works through counseling as a tool, and that recovery, for a client, comes as part of the sanctification process through grace by faith in Christ.

I believe that God by his grace actually works the change that clients so desire.

I believe that use of the Scriptures, reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit, and the power of prayer are key elements in the process and practice of Biblical Christian counseling.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
